Fergie’s is super cute.  I was totally suckered in to the charm of the location, and the service. The outside deck is perfect on a warm day, and the secondary indoor seating area (with fireplace) is perfect for winter.  And, if you are in to food, they have that too.

We were in Squamish, BC this summer climbing with some friends.  I’m not that big of a climber, so to avoid the mosquitos at camp, I ran away to Fergie’s for a solo breakfast.  Everything was delightful.  Fergie’s is only open for breakfast and lunch, and was pretty crowded by 9:30am. Go early!

Fergie’s is part of the Sunwolf  lodge/event space, but you do not need to be a guest there to eat.  That said, there are tons of great hide-away places to take your meal and enjoy the outdoors.

If the weather is bad, head on inside and sit by the fire.

I recommend the Dubliner Benny.  It’s a homemade biscuit garnished with sautéed onion, apply and bacon.  It’s topped with a poached egg, hollandaise sauce and dubliner cheddar cheese, and comes with a side of hash. I don’t like poached eggs, so I got mine with scrambled (it was still good – seriously, don’t judge).

The onion, apple, bacon slaw was amazing.  The apple was cut in to super thin slices and added a tartness that broke up the richness of pretty much everything else.  The roasted potato hash was seasoned with yellow curry.

The almond milk latte arrived at the perfect drinking temperature.  I really can’t wait to go back.
